Even a professional like Gittin Jr. found himself challenged by Green Hell, admitting that "[he] was out of [his] comfort zone for the majority of the hot laps and did not know the Green Hell nearly as well as [he] thought [he] did. "Everything changes when you're going sideways at those speeds," adding that "you will not see it from the video but I scared myself multiple times." Drifting is typically forbidden on the Nurburgring, so this is the first time anyone has ever done a full drift lap around the track. Getting around it meant using three sets of Nitto NT555 G2 tires. During the lap, the Mustang traveled over 150 mph and achieved 65 degrees of steering angle. Ford Of course, Gittin Jr. didn't just use a normal Mustang for the lap. His car was modified by RTR to produce anywhere from 700 to 900 horsepower thanks to a Vortech JT Trim Supercharger, XForce Exhaust, and tune by SCT Performance GTX. The Mustang was also equipped with a Pfitzner Performance six-speed sequential gearbox with Quarter Master clutch, BC Racing HM Series inverted double adjustable suspension, and RTR Motorsports Drift Spec brake package. RTR will actually sell you a Mustang like Gittin Jr.'s, just don't try to take it on a sliding drift lap around the Nurburgring because you will probably crash.
