Land Rover Wants To Be The Number One Brand For Dog Owners

Aug. 26, 2018 8:55 AM ET by Jared Rosenholtz / 4 Comments With a new range of dog-friendly accessories. Automotive enthusiasts with canine companions have plenty of awesome cars and SUVs to choose from. SUVs offer the most ideal package for large dogs, and Land Rover is aiming to be the ideal SUV brand for dog lovers with a new line of dog-friendly Pet Packs. Shown here on a Discovery, the carmaker says they will be available across the range. We assume that even includes the $334,000 supercharged Range Rover SV Coupe. The Pet Packs will start off at around $463 for accessories such as spill-resistant water bowls, access ramps, foldable pet carriers, quilted trunk liners, and a portable rinse system. Land Rover says the Pet Packs will be available starting today, Sunday August 26, which just so happens to be International Dog Appreciation Day. "Land Rover is all about enjoying the great outdoors and that goes hand-in-hand with dog ownership for many customers. Our customers told us that the comfort of their dogs on car journeys is crucial. They are part of the family and we recognize that. Our new Pet Packs aim to allow dogs to travel in real comfort and make journeys simpler and more relaxing for dogs and at the same time protect the inside of owners' vehicles" said Finbar McFall, product marketing director for Land Rover.
