Eye-Catching Lexus LC 500 And Lexus UX Concepts Arrive At Pebble Beach

While this year's Pebble Beach show will undoubtedly be dominated with new model premieres like the new BMW Z4, Bugatti Divo and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, Lexus is showing off a pair of colorful concept cars based on the LC sports car and UX SUV. First up is the LC Inspiration Concept previewing a production model coming later this year. It's based on the LC 500 and features vibrant Flare Yellow exterior paint as well as a unique set of black 21-inch forged alloy wheels. A similar dark finish has been applied to the carbon fiber roof and active rear spoiler for a striking contrast. Lexus Inside, the unique design elements continue with bespoke yellow door inserts made of Alcantara and touring seats featuring semi-aniline leather with yellow stitching. The same stitching has also been applied to the instrument panel, console and glovebox to give the cabin a unique look. Being based on the LC 500 means that power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 that sends 471 horsepower to the rear wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission, enabling the sports coupe to sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds. This is the second time the LC has had the Inspiration Series treatment following the special edition model revealed last year finished in blue paint that took eight months to develop. A more potent LC F is also allegedly in the works, which could pack a twin-turbo V8 delivering 621 hp. Built exclusively for Lexus by Clark Ishihara of VIP Auto Salon, the custom UX 250h features a striking Oracal vehicle wrap along with a custom roof rack holding the Lexus F Sport Carbon Fiber Road Bicycle, which was created to mark the completion of the Lexus LFA supercar production run.
