Is This Bugatti' s Incoming Sedan

Aug. 31, 2018 8:15 AM ET by Michael Accardi Supercars / 4 Comments Galibier reboot could be in the cards for Paris Motor Show. Fresh off the reveal of the new Bugatti Divo, the French supercar maker might have another trick up its sleeve just in time for the Paris Motor Show in October. Photos of the potentially new model surfaced on social media before being picked up by TheSuperarBlog.com. The photo in question shows a rather long sedan looking thing with the trademark Bugatti horseshoe grill outlined by the car cover pressed up against the shapely figure. At this point, we're dealing in pure speculation. However, considering the model looks longer than bother the Chiron and the Divo, it's entirely possible what we're looking at is a resurrection of Bugatti's Galibier project. The idea isn't without precedence. About a year ago, Wolfgang Durheimer, who was president of Bugatti at the time, was quoted as saying that the four-door Bugatti was still under consideration and that a final decision would be made before the end of 2018. Maybe this is how Bugatti has decided to announce its decision?
Durheimer had also said that Bugatti was a "one-model brand," meaning that the company would only focus on selling one model at a time. With the Chiron expected to stick around until 2024 the wait could be unbearable.
Bugatti However, that was before Durheimer ceded stewardship to Stephan Winkelmann, the man with the magic touch. Winkelmann is responsible for Lamborghini's surge in quality and volume over the last years, spending a little over a year heading up Audi Sport before being brought in at Bugatti.
At the launch of the Chiron Sport at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Winkelmann announced that Bugatti was working on future projects and that new models were in the pipeline. If this solitary picture is anything to go by, then next up could be the super sedan. Bugatti Bugatti
