Lamborghini SC18 Is A 770-HP One-Off Track Monster

Nov. 18, 2018 1:21 AM ET by Jay Traugott Reveal / 7 Comments Track day madness courtesy of Italy. For the first time ever, Lamborghini's Squadra Corse motorsport division has released a one-off, Aventador-based track day beast of its own, the SC18. It wasn't built for any old reason but rather for a wealthy customer who helped design the car "in synergy" with the Italian supercar company. Now, Lamborghini designers and engineers have been known to be, shall we say, the mad scientists of supercar concepts over the years, and the SC18 is certainly no different. Let's talk some details. The naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 produces a wonderfully ridiculous 770 hp at 8,500 rpm and 531 lb-ft of torque, with all of that power distributed to the four wheels through a seven-speed gearbox. Lamborghini did not reveal any performance specs but it's not hard to imagine this thing is wicked fast. Lamborghini Lamborghini Lamborghini Its owner requested extreme aerodynamics, all of which were specifically developed for the car and were derived from Squadra Corse's competition experience. The front hood features air intakes in the style of the Huracan GT3 EVO while the sides and rear feature fenders, fins and air scoops inspired by the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO. A large carbon fiber wing with three mechanical adjustments is capable of generating optimal downforce. The 12 air intakes formed on the hood also increase heat exchange and improve cooling for the V12. Out back you'll find special exhausts and terminals with a unique design and sound. Lamborghini Lamborghini Like the Aventador, the SC18 isn't exactly tiny but Lamborghini worked to offset the car's size and bulk and, therefore, weight, with a lightweight carbon fiber body, painted in Grigio (grey) Daytona with red trim.
Wheel sizes are staggered with 20-inch up front and 21-inch at the rear wearing Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. The interior is done in Nero Ade (black) Alcantara with cross-stitching in Rosso Alala (red) and carbon fiber bucket seats. Unfortunately, because the SC18 is a one-off build for a private customer, we may never know, or let alone see, all of its true track capabilities. Enjoy looking at it now because we may not see it again. Pricing, not unexpectedly, was not announced. Lamborghini Lamborghini Lamborghini Lamborghini Lamborghini
