Last week, Land Rover lifted the wraps off the all-new 2020 Range Rover Evoque. Essentially a baby version of the Velar, we have no doubt it will continue the success of its predecessor as Land Rover's best-selling model. For the first time in the model's history, the Evoque is being offered with a 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers a combined 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Land Rover has also confirmed to Autoblog that a plug-in hybrid version will follow. The extended 105.6-inch wheelbase is identical to the Jaguar E-Pace's and the new Evoque also gains a version of its Integral Link rear suspension. However, Land Rover engineers insist this is an all-new foundation and not a further evolution of the ageing D8 platform.
