Hennessey Heritage Edition Ford Truck Makes More Power Than Anything You' ve Got

Oct. 13, 2018 3:40 PM ET by John Tallodi Tuning / 5 Comments This crazy beast is even more powerful than the Ford GT. If you have ever had the opportunity to take a 450-horsepower Ford F-150 Raptor for a spin it is unlikely that you would walk away from the experience wishing it had, oh, say an additional 300 hp or so. Yet that is exactly what tuning specialists Hennessey have created, an F-150 Truck with 758 hp coursing through its mechanical veins. They call it the Hennessey Heritage Edition. In a promotional video that the tuner just released, this supercharged beast can be seen drifting, doing burnouts and blasting to over 100 mph in mere seconds, all the kinds of stuff you do in your own truck on the way to work. It even ventures onto a patch of grass just in case you thought it had lost some of its off-road ability. The Heritage Edition Ford Truck is based on a 2018 F-150 equipped with the 5.0-liter V8 and it shares its mechanical specifications with the mental Hennessey HPE750. That means a 2.9-liter supercharger, upgraded fuelling, air-to-water intercooler, stainless steel cat-back exhaust and professional tuning to ensure that it all works as advertised. There is a Sport Kit Upgrade that adds a lowering kit, sway bars, Brembo brakes and 22-inch wheels. If you are keen on heading off the beaten track, then the Off-Road Upgrade adds a number of essentials such as 35-inch off-road tires, unique front and rear bumpers as well as a 3-inch lift. Whichever setup you choose, a three-year/36,000-mile warranty is included. Hennessey Performance Hennessey Performance Hennessey Performance The Heritage Edition differs from the HPE750 with a unique exterior livery that it shares with the other Heritage Edition models in Hennessey's arsenal. Seeing as Hennessey doesn't believe that the 647-hp Ford GT can be improved upon, they don't offer any upgrades for it. A respectful stance to take for one of Ford's greatest sportscars ever, but it does mean that the Heritage Edition Truck is the more powerful of the two. If you crave even more Ford-based power without going the truck route then only the 2005 GT or Shelby GT350 will do, both come packed with 850 hp of sheer terror.
