This Is The Best Reborn Toyota Supra Render Yet

The countdown to the reveal of the new fifth-generation Toyota Supra has officially begun, as the automaker recently confirmed the car's world debut will take place at next year's Detroit Auto Show on January 14. In the meantime, more puzzle pieces of the reborn Supra were recently discovered in a leaked parts guide. Diagram images allegedly showed the production Supra in all its glory, so it was only a matter of time before a render artist used them to visualize what the road car will look like. A member of the SupraMKV forum has created some renders based on the leaked parts guide images, possibly giving the most authentic depiction of the new Supra until it debuts next year. Unless, of course, an uncamouflaged prototype gets spotted in the meantime. After seeing so many spy shots of the Japanese sports car over the past few months, the render images don't offer any huge surprises, but they still give us a clear look at the design details. The low-slung rounded nose features three inlets in the lower fascia, while each headlight has six LEDs as standard. As a nod to Toyota's motorsport heritage, two bubbles have been added to the roof and there's also a ducktail spoiler at the back. If the new Supra ends up looking like this, we think fans of the original will be very happy. Inside, the Supra will feature a digital instrument panel as standard and four available levels of power seat adjustment. We also know the Supra's engine options thanks to the leaked parts guide. The base 20i trim will use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, but this model won't be available in the US. Instead, the entry-level variant in the US will be the 30i, which has a more powerful version of this unit. Topping the range will be a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six expected to produce around 340 hp. Each unit will be mated to an eight-speed automatic. In addition to the standard road car, Toyota also appears to be working on a track-focused Supra GR as shown in new photos sent to us by our spy photographers. The exterior looks similar to previous prototypes since it's wearing the same camouflage, but the carbon fiber door panels and rollcage in the interior suggest this isn't the standard Supra. All will be revealed next Janaury.
