And it rides on Corvette-derived magnetorheological dampers with giant 22-inch wheels and Brembo brakes that, at over 16 inches in diameter, are as big as the wheels on some cars. With the throttle pegged, it'll run to 60 in under six seconds, and it can still haul 8,400 pounds. It still may not be the ideal drift machine, but that's what makes this endeavor so unique. It was filmed on the Yas Marina circuit in the United Arab Emirates – home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the Gulf 12 Hours. "In the drifting community, we don't typically use SUVs for stunts and competitions. But the Tahoe RST is a beast," said Daham. "Its powerful engine, excellent handling, and performance technology make it an insanely fun and capable car to drift, which is why it stands out from other SUVs for me as a professional drifter."
