Bentley Bids Farewell To The Legendary Mulsanne In Style

The Bentley Mulsanne arrived on the market 10 years ago and for the past decade has acted as the UK automaker's flagship model. To send off this legendary car, Bentley has created the as a final special edition. The car was slated to end production by the end of April, but since the factory was shut down during the coronavirus outbreak, the Mulsanne will live on a bit longer. Up to now, Bentley has sold more than 7,300 units of the Mulsanne over the past 10 years and as the company prepares to begin a new era with a new flagship, it has created a cool video to send off the Mulsanne in style and show off its many achievements. Bentley revealed the Mulsanne in Pebble Beach in 2009 and the video highlights some of the car's highest points during its 10-year life. Some of these highlights include hitting 190 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats and introducing the Mulsanne Speed in 2015 along with several ultra-special edition models like the Grand Convertible and the six-seater extended-wheelbase model. All versions of the Mulsanne were powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbo L-Series V8, which has been in production since 1959. 35,898 examples of this V8 were built over 60 years, but sadly, it will die off with the Mulsanne. Peak output in the Mulsanne Speed produced 530 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque.
