This time, however, the accident didn't happen at a Cars & Coffee meetup. In Scottsdale, Arizona, the driver of a rented Ford Mustang GT Convertible was navigating the parking lot of DDW Partners, a dealership that specializes in high-end luxury cars and supercars, when they accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake pedal and smashed into a brand new Rolls-Royce Dawn parked outside the dealer lot. "A guy in a rental Mustang hit the gas instead of the brake, lost control and slammed in to a brand new Rolls-Royce," the dealer wrote on Instagram. "Is anyone surprised it was a Mustang?" Ouch. Looking at the damage, the Mustang GT came off far worse in the crash. The front bumper has detached, the hood and right-side fender are dismembered, and the headlight is also damaged. DDW Partners / Instagram Ford Ford It's a testament to the Rolls-Royce Dawn's superior build quality (not to mention sheer weight) that it only suffered a comparatively minor dent on the driver's side door and front fender. There are also some minor scrapes on the front bumper. The Rolls-Royce Dawn may have suffered less damage, but you can probably guess which car will be more expensive to repair. It isn't known if the driver of the Mustang GT suffered any injuries in the crash, but their foot must have been welded to the floor to cause so much damage to the pony car.
