2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV Shows Its Face

Apr. 24, 2020 1:50 PM ET by Martin Bigg Luxury / 9 Comments Cargo capacity has increased by 18 percent over its predecessor. The 2021 Cadillac Escalade is seven inches longer than its predecessor, but if that still isn't large enough for you, Cadillac will also offer a new version of the stretched Escalade ESV. Originally, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV was going to be shown off at the 2020 New York Auto Show, but the event was canceled in response to the coronavirus. Instead, Cadillac has revealed the new 2021 Escalade ESV online in an official photo after it was shown in Cadillac's visualizer.
Unsurprisingly, the new ESV looks identical to its standard sibling, but an extended 134.1-inch wheelbase makes it 15.9 inches longer than the regular 2021 Escalade. In total, the 2021 Escalade ESV measures 223.9 inches long. Cadillac Cadillac Thanks to its longer dimensions, rear passengers will have a generous 36.6 inches of third-row legroom. Behind the front row, the 2021 Escalade ESV offers a best-in-class 142 cubic feet of cargo space - that's 18 percent more than the previous Escalade ESV, and more than the Lincoln Navigator L. Like the standard 2021 Cadillac Escalade, the new ESV comes equipped with an abundance of advanced tech and luxuries, including an industry-first 38-inch, curved OLED, an augmented reality-enabled navigation system, available Super Cruise, and premium materials. Cadillac Cadillac Engine options are also identical, with a choice of either a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower or, for the first time in the Escalade's history, a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine rated at 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The latter engine is available at no extra cost and both engines are paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. Cadillac has also announced that dealer reservations for the 2021 Escalade and 2021 Escalade ESV are now open. Pricing for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade starts at $77,490 including the $1,295 destination charge, while the larger ESV will set you back at least $80,490. All being well, customer deliveries of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade will start in late 2020. Cadillac Cadillac Cadillac
