This Chevy Camaro Is The Most Power You Can Get For Under $54 000

May. 01, 2020 8:36 AM ET by Roger Biermann Tuning / 8 Comments If you're shopping new, then this is as good as it gets! American ingenuity knows no bounds, and when it comes to the motoring world, we've seen American tuning houses create some of the finest machines in the world. Callaway Cars is one such tuning house responsible for some impressive metal in the last few years, the most notable being the Callaway Corvette Aerowagon shooting brake that made our jaws hit the floor. The company has a long history with Chevrolet products, with the Chevrolet Camaro being a firm favorite for its versatile performance and everyday usability. Now, Callaway has released a new tuning package for the Camaro, touting it as the most amount of power you can get for under $54k. Designed and built as a more affordable version of the SC750 from earlier in the year, the SC630 is an available package for all Camaro LT1, 1SS, and 2SS models. The 6.2-liter LT1 V8 under the hood gets a full workover including a Callaway GenThree supercharger system, TripleCooled intercooler, high flow intake, and Callaway engine management, turning the Camaro's wick up from 455 hp/455 lb-ft to 630 hp/610 lb-ft, just shy of the outputs you'll find in a Camaro ZL1. But while a ZL1 will cost you upwards of $62,995 with the six-speed manual gearbox, the SC630 costs less than $54,000 - which, according to Callaway, is the most power for the money on the new car market. However, you do get a set of exterior 'SC630' badges, interior badging, Callaway embroidered floor mats, unique key fobs, and a plaque under the hood with the build number and VIN number. All Callaway models ship with documentation attesting the authenticity of the product, and what's more, the Camaro SC630 gets a full three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty for complete peace of mind.
