LEAKED This Is The New Nissan Rogue

Apr. 02, 2020 8:00 AM ET by Jared Rosenholtz Leaked / 9 Comments This new model looks a lot better than the current one. Earlier this month, Nissan was spotted testing a pair of camouflaged prototypes in Las Vegas, Nevada. The prototypes are believed to be the next-generation Nissan Rogue (or X-Trail in certain parts of the world). This new SUV is rumored to be officially revealed later in 2020 (without the unforeseen disruption of the coronavirus). Lending more credence to this theory, Nissan recently filed a noteworthy design application to the Brazil Ministry Of The Economy. The application does not mention the vehicle's name but does include several rendered images of what clearly looks like the upcoming Rogue.
Judging from the earlier spy shots, these images match the new split-headlight design, which was clearly taken from the European-market Nissan Juke. The design also features an updated version of Nissan's V-motion grille. Obviously, the Rogue lacks the RAV4's squared-off wheel arches but perhaps it is the generic look of this rendering that is deceiving our eyes. When the production Rogue is revealed, we are sure it will look more exciting than this set of plain, grey patent images show. Around the back of the car, the hatchback looks more angular than the current model with a smaller area for the rear glass. There is also a completely different taillight design and even a skid plate on the rear bumper. It could also get the Altima's 2.0-liter variable compression turbo engine producing 248 hp. On the inside, the Rogue is expected to have a larger infotainment screen and an all-digital instrument cluster on higher trims. There is no word on if the Rogue will make its debut this year. But will all major auto shows pretty much canceled this year, it will likely be an online debut, if anything. CocheSpias CocheSpias CocheSpias
