There' s A Great Deal Right Now For GMC And Buick Shoppers

May. 04, 2020 9:20 AM ET by Jay Traugott Industry News / 1 Comment But what about Chevy? Automakers are doing whatever they can these days to entice customers to buy or lease a new vehicle during the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, we've been seeing some amazing offers, such as 0 percent interest for 84 months from GM and FCA on most new vehicles. However, not all vehicles apply, though GM has just extended that list. According to a dealership bulletin uncovered by Cars Direct, the GMC Canyon, GMC Yukon, and Buick Regal are now eligible for this 7-year 0 percent APR deal. However, this offer still does not include many Chevy vehicles including the Canyon's corporate twin, the Chevy Colorado. GMC GMC GMC GMC Here's an example. A new $40,000 2020 Canyon at 0 percent APR would come to $476 per month. The Colorado does currently offer a $3,000 rebate, but a loan at, say, 5 percent, still amounts to $43,928, or $523 a month. Translation: just a little less than $4,000 in interest with a monthly payment difference of about $50. The situation is about the same for the GMC Yukon versus the Chevy Tahoe. While the Yukon can be had for 0 percent for 84 months, the Tahoe currently has no advertised rates. If you're interested in a new Buick, only the all-new Buick Encore GX is not eligible for this rate, which is understandable. However, there are still three Chevy models currently eligible for this amazing offer: the Chevy Trax, Equinox, and Silverado.

Best example: Memorial Day, which is coming up later this month. Typically, automakers have Memorial Day sales events and it'll be interesting what the bow tie brand does. Given the fact that Chevy is GM's bread and butter brand, we wouldn't at all be surprised to see more attractive offers appear in the very near future.
