Finding an E30 BMW 3 Series in good shape these days isn't a particularly difficult challenge. But managing to snag an E30 that also happened to be the first-ever all-wheel-drive model BMW ever produced is more difficult. Add finding one with low mileage on top of it. BMW collectors are always on the lookout for an E30 that fits that description and, as it turns out, there happens to be one for sale, though it's currently in the UK. This all-original 1986 BMW 325ix is not only a rare example but it also has shockingly low miles. Just 316, to be exact. Needless to say, it's still showroom quality inside and out. There isn't a single scratch anywhere to be found. Even the interior boasts perfection; look no further than the blue cloth upholstery on the seats. Again, no blemishes. The dashboard, angled towards the driver like in every BMW past and present, was what analog premium looked like over three decades ago. It still looks great today. The main reason why this it's still in such a high level of condition is that it's a European example. BMW added the AWD option to the E30 coupe and sedan mainly for residents of North America where winter strikes hard. Compared to non-AWD E30s, the 325ix is distinguishable thanks to its slightly flared wings and larger sill panels. There's also the '325ix' badge. Power comes from a six-cylinder gasoline engine rated at 168 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque. A Getrag five-speed manual power, of course, to all four wheels. Be prepared to fork over 48,000 GBP, or about $60,000 according to current exchange rates. Yes, that's about what you'd pay for a brand new BMW 5 Series. Today, AWD BMWs, which still have the 'X' moniker, are very popular for sedans and SAVs alike. But this old 325ix has real character that surely won't go unnoticed.
