Someone Is Already Selling Their 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster

It's become a tradition to launch a new Porsche 911 Speedster model at the end of a 911 generation's lifecycle. The Speedster styling recalls some of the brand's 1950s icons and there are now 911 Speedsters for a total of four generations, the latest being the 991. Based on the 911 GT3 chassis and utilizing the body shell of the Carrera 4 Cabrio, it made its world debut at the 2019 New York Show which also happened to be the year Porsche was celebrating its 70th anniversary. Only 1,948 examples were made and deliveries took place last year. And now it appears one of those buyers has decided to sell. Truth be told, they never even drove it. It has only 113 original miles and is considered to be in "as-new" condition. Along with standard features like a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six boasting about 500 horsepower and six-speed manual directing power to the rear wheels, this example has the optional $24,510 Heritage Design Package which features a two-tone leather interior, black brake calipers with white "Porsche" script, and gold "Speedster" badging. To help further reduce weight, Porsche ditched traditional interior door handles for fabric straps. Other cool highlights include a carbon-fiber engine cover, stainless steel sports exhaust, the Sport Chrono Package, a Bose surround sound system, black floor mats, staggered 20- and 21-inch wheels front and rear, and a 225 mph speedometer. The base price for all this Porsche epic-ness? $275,000, although this example cost its first owner at least $300,000. Apparently that individual feels this is a good time to cash in on that investment.
