Lamborghini Driver' s License Revoked After Speeding For Coronavirus Test

Blame the coronavirus pandemic which, in many cases, has caused widespread panic. Not only are people throughout the world hoarding supplies as they're forced to stay at home, but they're also anxious to get tested for the COVID-19 virus. Some are more anxious than others, however. CarAdvice reports that a 35-year-old Lamborghini driver in New South Wales, Australia was pulled over by police on the M4 highway for going 99 mph in a 55 mph zone. As police were taking his information, the guy tried to explain he was on his way to Westmead Hospital to get tested for the coronavirus, hence the reason for speeding. However, the police didn't buy it, or at least they didn't think going nearly twice the legal speed limit to get tested was justified. Lamborghini Lamborghini Lamborghini The driver of the unknown Lamborghini model was not only issued a speeding ticket but also suspended his license right then and there. Afterwards, the driver still went directly to the hospital for a COVID-19 test and then entered a mandated self-isolation. "Drivers shouldn't break the road rules under any circumstances," Commander of Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy, said. "Speeding endangers the life of motorists as well as pedestrians. If you think you may have symptoms of COVID-19 and want to seek help from a doctor or hospital, call ahead of time to book an appointment, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19/Flu assessment clinic should you become unwell." Supercar drivers love driving their supercars, plain and simple. Who wouldn't want to drive say, a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, into triple-speed digits on a long stretch of nearly empty highway?
