Aston Martin Vantage Gets A New Face

Jun. 10, 2020 9:29 AM ET by Martin Bigg Design / 26 Comments Do you think this is an improvement? The new BMW 4 Series Coupe has attracted controversy thanks to its polarizing, ginormous grille. But when the new Aston Martin Vantage was revealed back in 2017, its new design direction was just as divisive. Like the BMW 4 Series, the new Vantage has a gaping grille that looks far less elegant than its predecessor. This has inspired UK-based startup company Revenant Automotive to completely redesign the current-generation Vantage's front end, and we think it's a huge improvement. Revenant is offering the modifications as a package, which is being sold internationally.
Revenant replaces the front bumper and adds a smaller front grille positioned higher on the front fascia, replicating the look of the stunning classic Aston Martin Vantage. Each commission is unique, with a variety of options available for further personalization. It looks like it was designed by Aston Martin as all the parts fit seamlessly onto the Vantage without ruining the car's proportions. To keep the Vantage's twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 engine cool, an air dam has been added to the bottom of the bumper disguised with black trim. The custom grille is available in either lightweight composite or exposed carbon fiber. Since this is only a cosmetic upgrade, don't expect any performance improvements. As standard, the Vantage's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 503 horsepower and 505 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic. Revenant is currently accepting orders for the Vantage, but pricing is only available on request as each configuration is unique. Pricing for the standard Aston Martin Vantage starts at $152,995. Revenant is already developing additional upgrade and personalization components for the Vantage, so watch this space. Revenant Automotive Revenant Automotive Revenant Automotive Revenant Automotive
