Jun. 11, 2020 5:05 PM ET by Martin Bigg Pricing / 2 Comments Prices for eight models in the 2021 Mini model range have been slashed. New model updates typically incur price increases, but this isn't the case for many of Mini's models this year. For the 2021 model year, Mini is lowering the price of eight models by $1,000, while pricing for the seven additional models remains unchanged.
The 2021 Mini Cooper Hardtop 2 Door will start at $22,400, down from $23,400, while the MSRP of the Cooper S Hardtop 2 Door MSRP drops from $27,400 down to $26,400. The John Cooper Works Hardtop, on the other hand, has been reduced from $33,400 to $32,400. As for the 2021 Cooper Hardtop 4 Door, the regular version and S model have been cut to $23,400 and $27,400, respectively. Mini Mini For convertibles, the 2021 Cooper Convertible starts at $27,400 and 2021 Cooper S Convertible starts at $31,400. Finally, the 2021 Cooper S Clubman now starts at $29,900. All prices exclude the $850 destination and handling charge. Mini is also applying additional changes across its 2021 model line-up. A six-speed manual transmission is returning to the options list for eight models including the 2-door and 4-door Mini Cooper Hardtop and Cooper S Hardtop, the Mini John Cooper Works 2-door Hardtop, Mini Cooper Convertible, and Cooper S Convertible, and the FWD Mini Cooper S Clubman. Additionally, two exterior colors, Emerald Grey Metallic, and Melting Silver Metallic, are being discontinued for every 2021 Mini model. Mini Mini As for trim updates, Mini's 6.5-inch touchscreen navigation system can be added as a package option for models equipped with the Signature trim. The new driver digital instrument cluster is also available in the Signature trim with optional navigation and comes standard in models equipped with the Iconic trim. Availability of the Mini Oxford Edition 2-door and 4-door hardtops has also been expanded to everyone for 2021. Finally, several new models have joined Mini's 2021 model lineup including the electric Mini Cooper SE, the 301-hp Mini John Cooper Works GP, and the recently refreshed 2021 Mini Countryman.
