Chevy Responds To Ford' s Incredible Mustang Offer

Jun. 18, 2020 9:55 AM ET by Jay Traugott Muscle Cars / 8 Comments Pony car pricing wars will never end. A few days ago we noticed Ford has been offering a deal on the Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT (sorry, the Bullitt, GT350 and GT500 are not included) offering 0 percent financing for 60 months. The offer has already expired in some parts of the country. But what about the Chevy Camaro? Could the Bow Tie brand really let its arch-rival Ford Mustang have the best deal in town? We were curious so we investigated a bit further and discovered that Chevy is currently offering a $1,500 discount off the MSRP for any 2020 Camaro. And yes, the ZL1 qualifies. What's more, buyers can get deferred payments for up to 120 days if they finance through GM Financial. Chevrolet Chevrolet Chevrolet Prefer to lease? There's a featured lease on a 2020 Camaro for $329 a month for 39 months with $1,409 due at signing. And apparently there's still a fair amount of unsold 2019 Camaros because they're also on sale right now. You can take $2,000 off the price of any '19 Camaro model. In addition, 2019 Camaros are eligible for either 0 percent APR for up to 72 months, or deferred payments for 120 days. What's the difference between the 2019 and 2020 models? Very little, actually. Even their respective trim pricing is nearly unchanged with only a couple of minor exceptions. For both models years, the base Camaro LS begins at $25,995 while the top dog ZL1 goes for at least $62,995. Chevrolet Chevrolet Chevrolet Now, bear in mind not all customers will qualify. Having good credit definitely helps. Another important factor to consider is that this offer is currently set to expire on June 30. As noted above, Ford's 0 percent offer has already expired in some areas, so Chevy is the winner here. Question is, will both automakers offer some muscle car sale for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday? That remains to be seen. Chevrolet Chevrolet Chevrolet Chevrolet
