It's unknown how many examples of the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 were built, though previous reports put that figure somewhere between 100 to 160, making the iconic 6x6 a rare and expensive find. And if you have the means and iron will to go through the import process, there's currently one up for sale in Germany from Luxury Cars Hamburg. It has 822 miles on its odometer and an 859,000 euro price tag. That's a significantly huge increase over the original $400,000 starting price. However, given its exclusivity and the fact it has two extra wheels on three axles with five differentials, we doubt there'll be any difficulty in finding its second owner. Chances are that individual will be in Europe despite the 6x6 being far more at home in America than overseas. You see, the 6x6 weighs in at over four tons and measures 19-feet in length. It's not exactly intended for Europe's typically narrow and often winding roads. That amount of power means it begs to be driven hard both on and off-road. It features a high-range ratio for on-road driving and a low-range ratio for tough off-road conditions. Power is sent to all six wheels in a 30:40:30 split. Like the also famous and hardcore Unimog, the 6x6 features portal axles for better ground clearance and to enable the half shafts to drive the same power at reduced torque. Given its size and weight, the 6x6 is actually quite fast with a 0-60 mph time of about 7.8 seconds with top speed electronically limited to 100 mph. This specific 6x6 is decked out in brown leather with a white metallic exterior. There's no telling how long it'll remain available as 6x6 demand outweighed the automaker's expectations and it's highly unlikely a six-wheeled version of the redesigned Mercedes-AMG G63 will ever happen. So if you have the means to own a vehicle that will crush your neighbor's car or truck without even breaking a sweat, don't hesitate.
