The Most Collectable BMW M3 M4 Will Launch First

Now that the latest 4 Series has been revealed, it won't be much longer until the 2021 BMW M3 and 2021 BMW M4 make their public debuts. Both cars have been spotted more times than we can count with the front end of the M4 recently being leaked in full. BMW has said that the M3 and M4 will be revealed in September but according to some newly leaked information obtained by BMW Blog, only specific versions of the cars will be available at launch. The upcoming M3 and M4, known as the G80 and G82 respectively, will be the first ones to feature xDrive all-wheel-drive. There will also be rear-wheel-drive "Pure" versions, which are rumored to be the only ones available when the cars go on sale in early 2021. AWD version will go on sale at a later date. Silber via Bimmer Post CarBuzz CarBuzz The latest batch of rumors reportedly confirms that the RWD "Pure" variants of the M3 and M4 will produce 480 horsepower from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged S58 inline-six engine. The "Pure" models will be differentiated with unique front and rear fenders, a special paint option, different seat fabric, color-coded interior trim, and unique instrument graphics. They will also be available with a six-speed manual transmission. xDrive versions of the M3 and M4 will produce 510 hp but will only be available with an eight-speed automatic transmission. As the spy shots show, the manual models will likely be a bit more basic inside, lacking the more aggressive sport bucket seats found on the automatic models. CarBuzz CarBuzz This means eager manual transmission lovers will not have to wait to buy a new M3 or M4, unlike how Porsche revealed the 992-generation 911 with a PDK as the only transmission choice at launch. After their September debut, the M3 and M4 will enter production a few months later.
