2021 Toyota GR Supra Pricing Announced

Jun. 17, 2020 7:00 AM ET by Martin Bigg Pricing / 1 Comment The GR Supra 3.0 gets a price increase for the 2021 model year. Earlier this year, Toyota expanded the Supra family for the 2021 model year with the new, more affordable 2021 Toyota GR Supra 2.0 while also upgrading the GR Supra 3.0 with more power and improved handling. Pricing for the 2021 Toyota GR Supra has been kept under wraps, however - until now.
Toyota has confirmed the Supra 2.0 starts at $42,990, plus a $995 destination charge. Compared to its more powerful sibling, the Supra 2.0 packs the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine found in the BMW Z4 sDrive 30i that produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It's also 200 pounds lighter than the Supra 3.0 thanks to smaller brake rotors, a four-speaker sound system instead of a ten-speaker setup, and a lack of adaptive suspension and active differential. Toyota Toyota Toyota For the 2021 model year, the Toyota GR Supra 3.0 starts at $50,990, an increase of $1,000 compared to last year's model. For the extra $1,000, you get some significant upgrades, however. Power for the BMW-sourced 3.0-liter inline-six has increased from 335 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque to 382 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque, matching the output of the BMW Z4 M40i. As a result, the 0-62 mph time has dropped from 4.1 seconds to 3.9 seconds. Other improvements include increased rigidity, retuned dampers, and revised electric power steering. Pricing for the 2021 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium, which adds more standard equipment such as heated leather seats, a head-up display, and a 12-speaker sound system, has also increased by $500, up to $54,490. Toyota Toyota Toyota Topping the range is the GR Supra A91 Edition, which starts at $55,990 - an increase of $740 over the Launch Edition. These prices also exclude the $995 destination charge. In addition, Toyota is also offering a Driver Assist Package that adds radar cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors. This package will set you back $1,195 for the 3.0 Premium and A91 Edition. Also available is a Safety & Technology Package that adds radar cruise control, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, parking sensors with emergency braking function, navigation, a 12-speaker sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay support. This package costs $3,485 for the GR Supra 2.0 and $3,155 for the 3.0. Two special colors are also available to help the GR Supra stand out. For an extra $425, all versions of the 2021 GR Supra apart from the A91 Edition can be painted in Nitro Yellow. A special Phantom color is also available for the GR Supra 3.0 for an extra $1,495.
