Trucker Gets Revenge By Driving Semi Into Boss' s Ferrari

May. 09, 2020 6:50 AM ET by Aaron Brzozowski Crash / 9 Comments The Ferrari GTC4Lusso felt the wrath of a scalded employee. The successor to the excellent, surprisingly practical Ferrari FF, the GTC4Lusso is a competent and capable machine. But no amount of capability could have rendered it immune to being driven into by a semi-truck. Seen here, an Illinois shipping business owner's bright white Ferrari GTC4Lusso was destroyed in an act of vengeance carried out by one of his disgruntled employees. The story was originally posted to Reddit, where the post's originator alleged that the act of extreme vandalism was perpetrated in response to the business owner's decision not to pay his drivers. It's an appealing narrative, but one that appears to be untrue.

The reality, he said, is that the driver was promised a new 2020 semi-truck if he met a certain quota, but he failed to meet it. Vexed at having been denied the new truck, he got in his Volvo tractor unit and drove it straight into the owner's Ferrari. And there might be still more to the story; a Twitter post featuring a quote from a friend of the business owner alleged that the driver was also facing dismissal from the shipping company for complaining about a mandatory drug test.

Even if the body could be adequately repaired, with fresh new panels replacing the ones that have been crumpled by the offending Volvo tractor unit, there's likely enough structural damage that it wouldn't be worth. On top of that, the Ferrari GTC4Lusso has a front-engine layout, putting its high-compression, high-revving peach of a powerplant right in harm's way. On the plus side, if you've acquired a GTC4Lusso of your own at a salvage auction and you're in need of some seat motors or replacement switchgear, a beautiful parts car just became available.
