It shows an old Jeep Grand Wagoneer "woodie" driving along a winding road, within the rearview mirror of a much more modern Grand Wagoneer, capped off by the words: "The only thing more grand than yesterday's adventures are tomorrow's." So then, it doesn't show very much at all of the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, although the teaser does suggest the new model will get a sleek frameless rearview mirror. It also appears to suggest that in developing the all-new model, Jeep has made a point of being mindful of its past, looking back at what made its earlier Grand Wagoneers so great.
FCA FCA FCA FCA The Wagoneer was historically one of the more luxurious models in Jeep's lineup, although it was marketed as more of a station wagon than an SUV. Good luck getting anyone to believe that the new one, based on the Ram 1500's ladder frame, is anything but a full-size utility vehicle, but the luxury aspect will carry over in full. It's even been suggested that the Grand Wagoneer might be every bit as opulent as GM's hot-selling Cadillac Escalade. The only question is: Does FCA have the guts to offer the new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with some fantastically retro faux-wood exterior paneling?

Latest Teaser Suggests New Jeep Wagoneer Will Look To Its Past
Aug. 19, 2020 6:33 AM ET by Aaron Brzozowski Teaser / 7 Comments If Jeep is suggesting that the new Wagoneer will carry forward the image of its forebears, we're down. The Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are, by this point, long overdue additions to the Jeep brand's portfolio. It was nearly a decade ago that FCA first announced the new models, later solidifying a launch date target of 2018. So much for that. But now, finally, the body-on-frame SUVs appear to be right around the corner, and Jeep has taken to teasing the new models in the run-up to their official unveiling. Already, short video clips have whet our appetites for the Grand Wagoneer and shown off a sharp-looking Engine Start-Stop button surrounded by rich leather and a detailed machined-aluminum bezel. Now, a third teaser is giving us a brand new angle.Jeep View this post on Instagram The only thing more grand than yesterday’s adventures, are tomorrow’s.
