Dodge Reveals Pricing For 2021 Charger Lineup

An extra pair of doors behind the driver usually indicates a modicum of rationality, but this train of thought doesn't apply to the blisteringly quick 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye that was revealed earlier this year. As Dodge loves to remind everyone, it's the fastest and most powerful mass-produced sedan in the world. It tops a Charger range that may not rank highly for refinement or interior polish, but which generally blitzes the competition for performance at the price. On that note, Dodge has just released 2021 pricing for the entire Charger range. The cheapest way into Charger ownership is the entry-level SXT that begins at $29,995. That buys you a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque on the base rear-wheel-drive version. Dodge Dodge Dodge Dodge GT models also use a V6, before the range leaps to V8 power from the R/T upwards. Here's a full look at the Dodge Charger lineup's pricing for 2021: - Charger SXT ($29,995) - Charger SXT AWD ($33,595) - Charger GT ($31,995) - Charger GT AWD ($34,995) - Charger R/T ($36,995) - Charger Scat Pack ($41,095) - Charger Scat Pack Widebody ($46,595) - Charger SRT Hellcat ($69,995) - Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye ($78,595) All prices exclude Dodge's destination charge of $1,495. On the cheapest model, the price has increased by just $100 relative to last year, while the R/T sees a bigger $600 price jump. For the 2020 model year, the priciest Charger was the SRT Hellcat Widebody at just under $70,000 (other than the limited Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition), but this year's SRT Hellcat Redeye adds almost another $10,000 to that to top out at $78,595. Dodge Dodge Dodge Dodge In R/T models, outputs are up to 370 hp/395 lb-ft from the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, while the Scat Pack's V8 generates 485 hp/475 lb-ft. One rung from the top is the SRT Hellcat with 717 hp/650 lb-ft from its 6.2-liter supercharged V8, before the big daddy SRT Hellcat Redeye steps in with 797 hp. "For about $100 per horse, you get the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world," said Tim Kuniskis in reference to the range-topper. He heads up passenger cars at Dodge. Indeed, even the pricey Redeye costs around $98 per horsepower, compared to the $172/hp for a BMW M5. If you want both maximum power and space for the family, the Charger remains tough to beat.
