What Sports Cars Are Best For Seven-Foot-Tall Drivers

Aug. 29, 2020 5:15 PM ET by Michael Butler Video / 14 Comments It's definitely not a Corvette. When buying a new car, there is a typical checklist that most go through. How much power does the car have? Does it have Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto integration? Will it fit all my groceries and my kids? These are all very reasonable questions to ask when you're buying a new car, but a question that doesn't often feature is "will I fit inside it?" Most cars offer enough space for a six-foot-tall adult, but what if you're a 7-foot tall bodybuilder who weighs 342 pounds? Well, then you have to go window shopping. Oliver Richters (known as The Dutch Giant), who is the tallest actor and bodybuilder in the world recently went on a bit of a fact-finding mission to see which sportscar could accommodate his bulky physique. He actually fits and is impressed that he can drive this mini city car without any major hassles, but it does look uncomfortable, to say the least. The Aygo isn't exactly his dream car, so the Giant moves on to his next target, a Ford Mustang GT. As the Giant gets in you can already see that this is not going to be a good fit. "I can't even reach the pedals," he says. On to the next then: a 640-hp Cadillac CTS-V. The Giant slips into the car with no problem, so he decides to take it for a test drive. "I'm not used to this kind of power" he quips. He is impressed with the car's ability to swallow his muscles. With the seat pulled at the way back, and the steering wheel all the way to the top, he can't even fit in the car. It's a sight to behold. The Polestar 2 is next up, and once again is too tight for this colossus of a man. The Polestar 1 is a bit better, but his knees are all over the place, and his head hits the roof. Finally, a friend of the Giant offers to let him try his Maserati Ghibli: it is an absolute no go as he can't even reach the pedals, and this is considered to be one of the largest Maseratis on offer. We guess the Cadillac CTS-V will have to do... YouTube/The Dutch Giant YouTube/The Dutch Giant YouTube/The Dutch Giant YouTube/The Dutch Giant
