Sep. 04, 2020 5:21 PM ET by Martin Bigg Pricing / 25 Comments A fully loaded version will set you back six figures. With the world debuts of the Wrangler 4xe hybrid and the Grand Wagoneer Concept, it's been a busy week for Jeep. In the case of the latter, the concept previews the new reborn Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which is returning after a nearly 30 year absence. Since the production version of the luxury three-row SUV won't go on sale until mid-2021, pricing details have been kept under wraps - until now. Speaking with Car & Driver, Jeep president Christian Meunier has given us a clearer idea about Jeep's pricing strategy for the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Jeep Jeep Fully loaded, we can expect the luxury Jeep Grand Wagoneer to cost over $100,000 according to Meunier. If that's too steep for your budget, the regular, less opulent Wagoneer is expected to start at around $60,000. This broad price range will enable Jeep to use the Wagoneer to compete with the Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe, as well as more premium luxury SUVs such as the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. For comparison, a fully loaded 2021 Cadillac Escalade will set you back around $120,000, so the Grand Wagoneer should undercut the Escalade. When they enter production, you'll be able to configure the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer with a short- or long-wheelbase, like the Escalade as well. Jeep Jeep Jeep Since the new Wagoneer is expected to share the same body-on-frame platform as the Ram 1500, they will likely be offered with a range of V6, V8, and hybrid powertrains. The Grand Wagoneer Concept uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but Jeep didn't provide any technical details. To justify the high price tag, the new Grand Wagoneer will be loaded to the brim with premium features and technology. In the concept, the cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital display a 12.1-inch horizontal touchscreen, and an additional 10.25-inch horizontal display touchscreen. There's even a 10.3-inch screen for the front passenger and separate 10.1-inch screens for second-row passengers. Jeep Jeep Source Credits: Car & Driver
