The interior of the Subaru Crosstrek is no-frills and no-nonsense. Everything is laid out for ease of use, and the surfaces will all stand the test of time. The materials are not overly lavish, but they are extremely durable, and the cabin is well-constructed. Moving up the trim levels does add a certain air of luxury to the interior, but the Crosstrek will never be anything but an affordable and functional people mover. There is plenty of space for even taller passengers, and the trunk space is adequate. The driver gets a power-adjustable seat on the upper trims and there is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a larger infotainment screen, and USB ports around the cabin, too. 2022 Crosstrek Interior Photos

From Base to Hybrid, the Crosstrek is a capable five-seat crossover that can accommodate full-size adults. If you need to move a couple more passengers, there are a few mid-size SUVs you could look at, but for a subcompact, the Subaru is quite spacious. Those in the front enjoy 39.8 inches of headroom and 43.1 inches of legroom, while rear-seat passengers get 38 inches of headroom and 36.5 inches of legroom. This is more than you'll find in a Mazda CX-30, but the Kia Seltos is more spacious and comfortable. Manually adjustable seats are standard, but the driver can enjoy power adjustability on upper trim levels. Heating becomes standard from the Premium upwards. 2022 Subaru Crosstrek Interior Dimensions

The materials used in the construction of the Crosstrek were chosen for their hard-wearing properties. The Base starts things off with cloth upholstery paired with faux carbon-fiber trim, and the only color choice presented is Black. Once you upgrade to the Premium, a leather-wrapped steering is added and the seating gets orange stitching. Gray is added as a color choice but it depends on the exterior paint you choose. The Sport introduces water-repellent StarTex upholstery with yellow stitching, and the shifter now comes wrapped in leather. The top-tier Limited and Hybrid upgrade to genuine leather. It's Black with orange stitching in the Limited and Navy with blue stitching in the Hybrid. In terms of cargo space, the Subaru Crosstrek is not the most impressive crossover in the segment. That said, it still presents a reasonable 20.8 cubic feet, which is sufficient for everyday errands and even the weekly grocery shopping. The rear seats can be folded down in a 60/40 split to free up 55.3 cubic feet for when you need to move larger items. Sadly, the Hybrid falls prey to a shortcoming that most other modern hybrids have overcome. The battery eats up some space in the back, leaving just 15.9 cubic feet of standard cargo capacity, or 43.1 cubes with the seats folded down. Small-item storage around the cabin comprises a lockable glove compartment, a center console compartment, a pair of cupholders, and four door pockets with built-in bottle holders. The Limited and Hybrid have fold-down center armrests with cupholders. 2022 Subaru Crosstrek Trunk and Cargo Space Photos

Features
Even from the Base trim, the Crosstrek has a respectable list of standard features. These include six-way manually adjustable front seats, a 2.4-inch LCD driver-information display, cruise control, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and a rearview camera. From the Premium, heated front seats are added, along with heated side mirrors and automatic headlights. The Sport slots in the middle of the range and enhances the tech package with a larger 4.2-inch driver-info display, keyless access with push-button start, and EyeSight driver-assist technology that includes pre-collision avoidance, lane-keep assist, and lane departure warning. The Limited and Hybrid share the same list of features, including a six-way power driver's seat, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and high-beam assist. A power moonroof is available from the Sport upwards. Infotainment
The infotainment suite on the Crosstrek is far from the best, but it gets the job done. The standard setup centers around a 6.5-inch display. On the Base, its functionality includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, AM/FM Radio, and Bluetooth. The Premium and Sport get a CD player, SiriusXM, and Wi-Fi capability. The Sport can also be optioned with the larger eight-inch touchscreen that comes standard on the Limited and Hybrid. This also includes NFC technology and HD Radio. The Base only gets four speakers, but every other trim enjoys six. The Limited and Hybrid can option on an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Check other Subaru Crosstrek Styles
