The latest Honda Civic hasn't received NHTSA crash test ratings just yet, but expectations are high as the outgoing model received full marks from the authority. The IIHS gave the Honda Civic a Top Safety Pick + award for 2021, and in terms of the 2022 model, IIHS safety ratings comprise six top scores of Good.

2022 Civic Sedan Key Safety Features

The new Civic is a bouncy castle on wheels with front, side, knee, and rear outboard airbags. Honda also includes ABS, EBD, traction and stability control, a reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Honda Civic boasts excellent safety ratings thanks to a comprehensive safety features list, thanks to the Honda Sensing suite which is standard across the range, and consists of adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, forward collision warning and mitigation, traffic jam assist, and traffic sign recognition. EX trim adds blind-spot monitoring, while the Touring model comes standard with rear cross-traffic monitoring and low-speed braking control.
