Big Price Increases Coming For 2023 Chevy Camaro

May. 24, 2022 3:07 PM ET by Michael Butler Pricing / 10 Comments That's not going to help boost sales. Despite numerous global economic crises, people are still buying sports cars and American sports cars in particular. The Ford Mustang was recently named the most popular sports car in the world, again, and Chevrolet can barely keep up with demand for its C8 Corvette. But there's one iconic US sports car that's struggling: the Chevrolet Camaro. Despite offering impressive discounts and numerous special editions, the Camaro is still lagging behind the competition from Ford and Dodge. To make matters worse, the Camaro is in for a notable price increase for the 2023 model year, especially in the higher trims, which will see an increase of up to $3,700.
Chevrolet Chevrolet Chevrolet Chevrolet The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro will continue to be manufactured at the GM Lansing Grand River Factory in Michigan, and will enter 2023 priced notably higher. Reports suggest the 2023 model year Camaro will see an increase of $800 for lower trim models including the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, for both Coupe and Convertible models and regardless of which engine or transmission you choose. If you want a V8, you'll see an even bigger price increase as the LT1, 1SS, and 2SS get a price increase of $1,800. This means you'll pay more than $40,000 now for the Camaro 1SS Coupe when in 2022 it only cost $38,895. The top-of-the-range ZL1 Coupe and ZL1 Convertible will see the biggest price increase. 2023 model year cars will cost $3,700 more, taking a model such as the ZL1 Coupe with the six-speed manual from $64,395 to $68,095. The Radiant Red color will be paired with Chevy's various optional design packages. The Sharkskin paint option will be tied in with the cool-looking Shock and Steel special edition package. Under the hood, the 2023 Chevy Camaro will remain unchanged and will be offered with the entry-level 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 engine, a burly 6.2-liter V8, and the powerful supercharged LT4 V8.
