Silver, gold, platinum are all precious metals that denote significant anniversary milestones. Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations are under way to mark her 70-year reign and Jaguar Land Rover will be out in full force to celebrate. The Royal Family, long recognized as staunch supporters of both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles for longer than the Queen has been crowned, will host 26 iconic JLR vehicles on parade. Jaguar Land Rover Seventy years of performing the same duties can be quite a task, even if it is a rather cushy Royal appointment. One of the key requirements for a Royal is travel and much of those road-going duties have been entrusted to Jaguar and Land Rover for decades. Once wholly British-owned, these marques have changed hands over the years but the Queen's affinity and commitment to these British manufacturers has been unwavering. With that relationship steeped in history, Jaguar Land Rover pulled out over two dozen classics and bespoke vehicles for Her Majesty the Queen including one of the first Land Rover Defender 130 8-passenger SUVs for Red Cross deployment.
