2023 Acura Integra' s Cool New Features Uncovered

May. 27, 2022 12:12 PM ET by Gerhard Horn Sports Cars / 6 Comments Including a carbon-trim package. Acura recently sent the first parts information bulletin and 18-step quality inspection checklist for the Integra to dealers. While we know almost everything about the car, including the pricing structure, there are a few new things we picked up from these documents. Unfortunately, there's no mention of the highly-anticipated Type S. The 18-step inspection is essentially a guide to unwrapping the Acura Integra, but the final step makes an exciting reference to the embedded navigation system. The Integra doesn't have it. The document states that "navigation maps can be viewed using a smartphone connected through Apple Carplay and Android Auto". We're not sure whether this results from the semiconductor chip shortage or just the new standard. We've argued before that smartphone integration and third-party apps have made in-car navigation irrelevant. Either way, we don't see it as a dealbreaker. Acura Acura Acura Acura A basic configurator has been online for a while, and when we first came across it, we were disappointed by the lack of available colors. Acura's website only mentions Majestic Black Pearl, Liquid Carbon Metallic, Apex Blue Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and the respective interior color attached to each of these. The first part bulletin also mentions Lunar Silver Metallic and Performance Red Pearl. These colors will likely only be available later in the year, if not early next year. Production only began earlier this month.
It also mentions several accessories that will be available for the Integra. You get the usual selection of spoilers and body replacement parts, but the exciting bit is all of the practical features available. The list of accessories includes a roof rack with a surf/paddleboard attachment, a bike frame mount, a kayak mount, and a ski/snowboard attachment. So it's aimed at boy racers with an active lifestyle. Acura Acura Acura Acura The part bulletin also mentions a 19-inch Glint Black diamond-cut alloy wheel option, while the website only mentions 18s as standard on the three available models. It also mentions the various styling kits available for the Integra. The base and A-Spec models can be ordered with a Sport Black kit, consisting of a rear diffuser, side underbody spoiler, gloss black emblems front and rear, and silver valve stem caps. There are also two Carbon Fiber kits available for the A-Spec and A-Spec Tech. The latter adds illuminated door sill trim, a carbon fiber tailgate spoiler, gloss black emblems, carbon fiber side mirror caps, and an illuminated emblem at the front. We can't wait for the complete configurator to go live because there appear to be more customization options than we initially thought. This should serve the Integra well in its battle against the Jetta GLI and Honda Civic Si. Acura Acura Acura Acura
