This one is a reflection of artist Sean Wotherspoon, who is "all about fashionable streetwear with a vivid color palette and unusual materials." Wotherspoon's Taycan art car has made the rounds before, but back then Porsche wasn't ready to show off the interior just yet. Now, they are. In order to get the colors he wanted, Wotherspoon first used virtual reality to test things out before sending the colors off to Porsche's paint department for mixing. After that, each color was applied to a small Porsche Taycan scale model and finalized, then work on the interior began. The best part, if you ask us, is the corduroy fabric.

Porsche has used the material on other cars, like on their 911 Targa Heritage Edition. Wotherspoon, a vegan, also made sure the interior was leather-free, something Porsche buyers can also choose should they wish.
"When I look at something, I examine how I can change it and elevate it to a new level," says Sean Wotherspoon. "These questions are my personal challenge. It doesn't matter whether I'm working on a sneaker or car design, a workflow, sustainability topics, or new material." Speaking of new materials, we're not sure if anyone has ever used so much cork inside a car before. It's on the dash, pillars, center console, steering wheel, and floor mats.
Apparently, getting that cork into the car was rather hard. "Working with cork, however, presented a number of challenges to our trimmers," said Volker Muller, Head of Color and Trim at Style Porsche. Cork comes laminated on rolls and was seriously tough to match up with contoured shapes like the dash and center console. That means the black 21-inch wheels, a black rear wiper cover, and black Porsche lettering on the light strip. If you're a fan of any of the colors on this car, which Wotherspoon named after members of his family, we've got good news. Customers can use Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur's Sonderwunsch program to create something similar on their car. Any of the four outside colors will be offered in the future. For now, Porsche hasn't announced a timeline on when those four colors (Nash Blue, Sean Peach, Loretta Purple, and Ashley Green) will be available. Right now, there's no word on whether you'll be able to replicate the Harlequin-style color scheme, but we certainly hope so. The world could use a little more color.
