"We are excited about what this latest generation is going to do for building a loyal customer base as we build toward electrification," he said.
Acura Acura Acura Enthusiasts will be rewarded for their patience as well. Korkor stated that Acura had some great driving cars in its past and that it felt good to bring that part of the business model back. In fact, the response was better than Acura anticipated. "We expected the enthusiast reaction to be good, but it's been exceptional," said Korkor. The most remarkable thing about the new Integra is that the majority of the production will be manual, which is offered only on the top-spec A-Spec. We initially thought this would put people off, but it seems a manual transmission is a huge selling point. "Rather than focusing on coming in at a low price point, we wanted to put our best foot forward in terms of our strongest model, the A-Spec," Korkor said.

His official answer is no but adds that "whoever purchases an Integra will be ready for the next generation, whatever iteration it might take." We're not entirely convinced it will work, considering how massive the uptake on the manual transmission has been. While an EV will inevitably be faster, it won't provide the joyous self-expression that comes as standard with three pedals. We know Acura has an EV coming in 2024 and that Honda is hard at work developing two new electric sports cars. The new Acura Integra is one of the most highly-anticipated cars in recent years. And it's mainly because Acura will be offering a driving experience that's not easy to find anymore. A turbocharged engine, basic front-wheel-drive, and, praise be, a six-speed manual gearbox. Unfortunately, it will be the last Acura of its kind. In fact, it seems as if the Integra will be the last ICE Acura ever. Besides providing an exciting driving experience, the Integra was also designed to lure younger buyers to the brand. "Positioning the Integra is really an important thing, as a true gateway to the brand, and a worthy successor of the original Integra," Emile Korkor, assistant vice president of Acura national sales, said to Automotive News in a recent interview."We are excited about what this latest generation is going to do for building a loyal customer base as we build toward electrification," he said.
