The interior of the Kia Forte is well presented, and the materials are great for the price you're paying. The layout of all the controls is rational, and interacting with them is easy thanks to the physical knobs and buttons. Nevertheless, there is a touchscreen as well, which is bigger than it used to be on the upper trims. The driver-information display is larger, too, not that we had any complaints with it in the past. Overall, the cabin is a pleasant place to pass the time, whether you are up front or in the back. 2022 Forte Interior Photos
KIA KIA KIA Seating and Interior Space
Though marketed as a five-seater, the Forte is a compact sedan, so the rear bench is best limited to two passengers. With that being the case, there is adequate room to go around. Those in the front row enjoy 38.8 inches of headroom and 42.2 inches of legroom, both sufficient for six-footers. Back-seat passengers aren't too far behind 37.5 inches of headroom and 35.7 inches of legroom. Only particular tall people will find it uncomfortable to be seated in the rear for extended periods of time, but we wouldn't suggest three adults across in the back, regardless. The GT-Line and GT have access to sports seats for more support, which are standard on the GT Manual. As standard, the front seats are manually adjustable, but this can be upgraded on higher trims. The GT Manual comes with heated seats up front. Outward visibility for the driver is good, and getting in and out of the vehicle is a breeze. 2022 Kia Forte Interior Dimensions

The color scheme for the cabin is limited to blacks and grays, with the FE being restricted to Black woven cloth only. The LXS unlocks Gray woven cloth and spruces up the dashboard with some soft-touch elements. The GT-Line gives the Forte a sportier makeover both outside and in, upgrading the upholstery to a SynTex/cloth combo in Black with Gray stitching, though pure SynTex in the same hue is available. At the top of the line, the GT gets the same SynTex and cloth combination in Black, but with red stitching, while the GT Manual is full SynTex in the same color scheme. Cargo capacity in the Forte is impressive for such a small car, even beating out leading competitors like the Honda Civic. In the trunk you'll find a total of 15.3 cubic feet of space, which is more than enough for your weekly grocery shopping, and then some. If you occasionally need to move larger items, the rear seats can be folded down to open up some extra space. Small-item storage around the cabin is adequate. The glove box and center armrest can store larger items, while the dual front cupholders or the bin in front of the shifter can handle smaller items. Each door has a decent-size pocket and upper trims ad cupholders to the back inside the fold-down center armrest. 2022 Kia Forte Trunk and Cargo Space Photos

Features
Though well-appointed, the Forte FE is still rather barebones in comparison to more expensive cars. But for what you are paying, you get quite a few features. These include six-way manually adjustable front seats, a 4.2-inch digital cluster, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, and cruise control. The base-level safety suite comprises a rear-view camera, cruise control, forward collision avoidance technology, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, and a driver attention warning. From the GT-Line up, dual-zone climate control, a smart key with remote start, safe exit warning, rear cross-traffic avoidance assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, and new upholstery are added. Heated seats are standard on the GT Manual, but ventilation is available, along with a sunroof, and ten-way power front seats. The GT Manual also gets rear park distance warning, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert as standard, while wireless charging is standard from the GT model. Infotainment
While the starting infotainment suite still relies on the old eight-inch touchscreen, it includes modern features such as wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. The larger 10.25-inch display on the upper trims reverts to wired smartphone integration but adds SiriusXM, navigation, and HD Radio. Four speakers are installed in the FE and LXS, while the remaining trims get six. Only the GT Manual enjoys the premium 8-speaker Harman Kardon system as standard, but the GT-Line and GT can option it. Popular Comparisons
