Miles Morales inherited the Spider-Man persona after Peter Parker's death but it's a little more complicated than that. Originally, Peter Parker befriended Miles after the sudden death of Morales's father, police officer, Jefferson Davis. He introduces him to the non-profit F.E.A.S.T shelter so he can work there as a volunteer. At the time, Miles has no idea that Peter is Spider-Man, despite the fact he idolizes the superhero. Eventually gaining his own spider-like powers, he tells Peter what happened, and the pair bond over their similar abilities. After Parker's sudden death, Miles Morales takes over the Spider-Man legacy which is depicted in the comic book, Ultimate Comics: Fallout #4. Who Created Miles Morales
The idea of Miles Morales was first discussed a few months before the November 2008 election of Barack Obama as President of the United States. At the time, Marvel Comics' editor-in-chief Axel Alonso explained that it was important to create a character that would reflect what was developing in the world at that time. The actual character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli. In interviews, Bendis explained that Morales's first appearance was heavily influenced by Donald Glover's appearance in Spider-Man pajamas in an episode of the TV comedy series, Community. Pichelli designed Spider-Man's new costume with Miles Morales donning a mostly black outfit with red webbing and a red spider logo to make him stand out from the Peter Parker style Spider-Man. No, although he is the most famous example. Before Miles, Spider-Man 2099 was created by Peter David and Rick Leonardi in 1992. Besides appearing in numerous comic books, his character has appeared in the Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors TV series, many Spider-Man video games, and was most recently voiced by Oscar Isaac in a post-credits scene for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. What Makes Miles Morales So Different From Previous Spider-Man Characters
For years, many people have assumed that Spider-Man is always Peter Parker. Miles Morales is a significant change to a more diverse comic book universe. Offering a positive role model to children of color is one such way in which Miles Morales shakes things up, but he's also different from Peter Parker. While Peter was a little nerdy and shy, Miles is a much more well-rounded individual with friends and a traditional teenage experience alongside his responsibilities as a superhero. He also has unique abilities that Peter Parker doesn't possess. Alongside the typical Spider-Man abilities like superhuman strength and speed, the ability to crawl on walls and the Spidey-Sense power, Miles Morales can use his web powers to camouflage himself, becoming invisible. He can also regenerate health faster and he has Bio-Electrokinesis powers so he can control the natural electricity of his body and turn it into a weapon to attack enemies.
