How to Edit a WhatsApp Picture

To make changes to a WhatsApp image, all you need is the WhatsApp app installed on your smartphone or tablet. No purchase of any additional software or services is needed. Go to the WhatsApp chat conversation that you want to post a photo or image in. Tap the Camera icon. Take a new photo or tap the Painting icon to use one saved on your device. Once the image is loaded, you’ll be able to edit it. Tapping the blue send icon next to the text field will post your image to the chat conversation immediately. Make sure not to tap it until all of your editing is done. Tap the first icon from the top menu to open the Crop and Rotate Tool. Drag your finger across the circle under the image to rotate it. You can always undo an edit by tapping the icon with the arrow over the square. To remove all edits, tap Reset. Drag a corner of the box around the image to crop it. Tap Done. Tap the Smiley Face icon to use stickers and emoji on your image. You can browse the stickers and emoji currently downloaded onto your WhatsApp app or use the Search icon in the top-left corner to browse for specific ones in the online library. The top three stickers are dynamic and can be used to show the current time and location. Tap a sticker or emoji to add it to your image. Use two fingers to move and resize it. Add more WhatsApp stickers to your image if you like. Next, add some text. Tap the T icon to open the text tool. Adding text to a WhatsApp photo can be effective for wishing someone a Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas or even to point out something in the image as you would if you were making notes in a book. A keyboard should appear. Type your message and change the font color by selecting one from the Color Bar on the right. Tap the arrow in the top-left corner to close the Text tool. Move, rotate, and resize your text as you did with the emoji and stickers by pinching it with two fingers. You can move anything you’ve added by simply touching and dragging with a single finger. Resizing and rotating needs two fingers. The WhatsApp Draw on Pictures Android and iOS feature is one of the most-popular tools within the WhatsApp app on Android smartphones and iPhones. Open it by tapping the Pen icon. It’s the last icon on the Edit toolbar. Select a color for your pen by dragging a finger up and down the Color Bar on the right side. With a color selected, use your finger as a pen to draw or write on the WhatsApp picture. If you make a mistake, tap on the undo icon from the top toolbar. It should appear after you draw something. If you want, select another color and draw or write something else. When you’re done, tap the back arrow in the top-left corner. Next, swipe up on your image to activate the Filter menu. Tap on a filter to see what it looks like in real-time. Once you have a filter you like, tap the Back icon. Add a caption to your WhatsApp photo by tapping on the text field under the image. Type your message via the keyboard. Tap the Return key once you’re done. Tap the blue Send icon to post your WhatsApp picture to the chat. New edit options are being added to the WhatsApp app all of the time. To get all of these new features, make sure that you have the latest WhatsApp update download for your Android or iOS device.
