The desktop versions have more options for customization than the web or mobile versions, but you should be able to find some new ideas for using this note-taking tool on various devices. 01 of 10 Change the Default Font in Evernote
Desktop versions of Evernote allow you to specify a default font for notes. This means future notes are created with the default font. For example, in Windows go to Tools > Options > Note. 02 of 10 Use Evernote Shortcuts to Make Taking Notes Even Simpler
You can create up to 250 shortcuts for notes, notebooks, stacks, searches, and more. The shortcut sidebar is located on the left side of the screen and can be customized. For example, in the Android tablet version, long tap or right-click the note (without opening it) and select Add to Shortcuts. Or, drag and drop a notebook to the Shortcuts on the sidebar to the left. 03 of 10 Add a Note to the Evernote Home Screen
Want a certain note front and center when you open Evernote? The first thing you see is the Evernote Home Screen, so place priority items there. In the Android tablet version, long tap or right-click the note before opening it and select Home Screen. Or select the triple-square icon in the upper-right corner while in the note, then select Home Screen. 04 of 10 Customize Note Views in Evernote
To customize how notes appear in a notebook, go to the upper-right corner to find options under View. The drop-down menu has options for Cards, Expanded Cards, Snippets, or List, depending on your account type and device. You have a couple of options for displaying notebooks on some devices. In the desktop versions of Evernote, you can streamline the interface by turning on or off options such as note, notebook, tag, and navigation panels. In Evernote, you can customize the toolbar in desktop versions. For example, in the Windows version, open a note and select Tools > Customize Toolbar.
