How to Delete a Chrome Bookmark From the Web Page

There are two ways to delete a Chrome bookmark: from the bookmarked web page itself and using Chrome's Bookmarks manager. Going to the bookmarked web page provides the fastest way to remove a bookmark if you only have one or a few to remove. Here's how: Open the Chrome web browser on your computer and go to the web page you want to remove from your bookmarks. When the page opens, click or press the solid star at the right end of the URL bar. The star is solid on a bookmarked web page. If the star is hollow instead of solid, the page isn't bookmarked. In that case, clicking the star bookmarks the web page. Click Remove in the drop-down menu to delete the bookmark to the web page.

How to Delete a Bookmark Using the Chrome Bookmark Manager

If you don't remember the URL of the bookmark you want to delete, you can find it in the Chrome Bookmarks manager. Here's how: Open Chrome and enter chrome://bookmarks/ in the URL field. Locate the bookmark you want to delete. If you have several folders listed in the sidebar, you may need to look through more than one folder to find it. If you don't see the bookmark while scrolling through the list, use the search box at the top of the Bookmarks manager to locate it. Click or tap the ⋮ (three dots) icon to the right of the bookmark you want to delete. You can also right-click the bookmark and delete it instead of clicking the ⋮ icon. Click or tap Delete in the pop-up menu. Repeat this process for each additional bookmark you want to delete.

How to Delete All Your Chrome Bookmarks

If you want to delete all your Chrome bookmarks and start fresh, use the Bookmark manager. Here's how to remove all your Chrome bookmarks at once: Open Chrome and go to the Bookmarks manager by entering chrome://bookmarks/ in the URL field. If you have more than one folder listed in the sidebar, select the folder that contains the bookmarks you want to delete. Folders in the sidebar are independent of each other, so you need to delete each one separately if you want to remove all your bookmarks. Click in the list of bookmarks and type CTRL+A (Command+A on a Mac) on your keyboard to select every bookmark in the folder. They should all be highlighted. Click Delete. This process can't be undone. If you have other bookmark folders to delete, click the next folder in the sidebar and repeat this process.

The process of deleting bookmarks differs in the Chrome mobile app. Open the Chrome app on your mobile device. Tap the three-dot icon to open a menu. Tap Bookmarks in the menu, If you have multiple folders, tap a folder to open it and display the bookmarks it contains. Delete a single bookmarks by swiping to the left on it and tapping Delete. To delete multiple bookmarks, tap Edit and tap each one you want to delete. Tap Delete.
