Set Up Gmail to Retrieve POP Email

Gmail can retrieve mail from popular email services such as GMX Mail, Windows Mail, and Yahoo Mail. These services may have specific instructions that describe how to access the service in Gmail. If not, follow the generic instructions below. To have Gmail retrieve mail from an existing POP email account: Select Settings. Choose See All Settings. Go to the Accounts and Import tab. In the Check mail from other accounts section, select Add a mail account. Enter the email address to check through Gmail, then select Next. Select Import emails from my other account (POP3). If the option to link accounts with Gmailify is available, addresses from some email providers (Yahoo, AOL, Outlook, Hotmail, and a few others) can use Gmailify. Enter the Username, Password, Pop Server, and Port information. Look for this information on your email service provider's website. Select the options that are appropriate for your situation. Gmail recommends using a secure connection and labeling incoming messages. If the purpose of this account is to back up messages, select Archive incoming messages to move messages to All mail.
