With such a wide range of viewing angles, the AmazonBasics tablet stand is comfortable to use for almost everything. I prefer a low viewing angle for reading, highlighting notes, and small amounts of writing. The AmazonBasics Tablet Stand is the best choice for portability on a budget. It’s inexpensive without being cheaply built, so the stand lasts for years. Portability requires a few design considerations, though. Folding into a compact shape that won’t break means this stand doesn’t have any way to lift iPads, so it’s not the most ergonomic choice. The Lamicall Tablet Stand is a better choice if you’re not going farther than your desktop. This heavy metal stand can lift iPads a couple of inches while remaining stable. It has cutouts for cables to pass through, so you don’t have to sacrifice any functionality to work with it. It’s just a little more at $19, but it’s better for users who don’t need something that can fit inside a pocket.
