Nvidia announced that the Apple TV app would be coming to the Shield streaming device on June 1. The Verge reports the release of Apple TV on the Shield is another step in Apple’s plan to release the service across as many devices as possible. Nvidia Nvidia says the Shield will let Apple TV subscribers use Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, allowing them to experience more immersive sound and visuals in the shows they watch. The streaming box also will give subscribers easy access to their shows using hands-free voice controls that utilize Google Assistant. Users can access all their Apple TV channels through the new app, including AMC+, Paramount+, and other streaming services. The Shield’s built-in AI system also will upscale content from regular HD to 4K, which Nvidia says will help deliver the best cinematic experience available in any streaming device right now. The Apple TV app also gives users access to Apple TV+, which includes several shows and movies like Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, For All Mankind, Servant, and Greyhound. Apple adds new content to the app almost every month, so users should find an assortment of content available at their fingertips. Nvidia If you aren’t currently an Apple TV+ subscriber, downloading the app and signing up on the Nvidia Shield grants you a seven-day free trial you can use to check out the different shows and movies that it has to offer.
