So I combed through the subreddit r/foodhacks and looked all around the Internet for some of the most creative and intriguing food tricks around — then put them all in one place. Here are some of the best.

1. "Easily make fancy green onions (or pretty much any herbs) by slicing them with pinking shears."

2. "Turn canned fruit into one-ingredient sorbet. Buy a can of fruit in light syrup like peaches or pineapple. Freeze it overnight, then in the morning remove the lid and pour any liquid and the frozen fruit into a blender. Purée and enjoy immediately."
