One improvised line led to Dwight being a beet farmer.

1. In the episode "Dinner Party," Jan makes devil horns when she sarcastically calls herself the devil for cleaning the sliding glass door of the condo. Melora Hardin (who played Jan) improvised the horns.

Since this meant the actor playing Creed Bratton — Creed Bratton — would need to be paid for a speaking role anyway, they expanded on the character. Thank the lord we don't live in a world without Creed.
