1. In the episode "Dinner Party," Jan makes devil horns when she sarcastically calls herself the devil for cleaning the sliding glass door of the condo. Melora Hardin (who played Jan) improvised the horns.

Jan saying, And I moved in and I cleaned it, so I guess that makes me the devil NBC

2. The made-up illnesses that Dwight lists off in "Health Care" were improvised. Here's the full scene:

3. Angela was never supposed to stomp on Christmas ornaments in "Christmas Party"; they were supposed to break on their own instead of just bouncing, but alas. And we really don't give Angela enough credit for being hilarious.

In the episode Dinner Party, Michael says, Ahhhh, I'm burning, Help me, and Angela says, You shouldn't joke about that NBC

What a star.

Also in Dinner Party, Andy playfully licks Angela's ice cream and she angrily rolls down the window and smushes her ice cream against his car

4. The "Sexual Harassment" script did not include the moment where Dwight asks Toby, "Where is the clitoris?"

5. After Jim tells Pam he's in love with her in "Casino Night," she tells him how much their friendship means to her. Jim cuts her off to say, "Don't do that... Come on." John Krasinski (who played Jim) improvised this. Here's the full scene if you want to cry:

6. Creed was not originally a speaking character, but while filming the episode "Diversity Day," he ended up talking to Phyllis. Since this meant the actor playing Creed Bratton — Creed Bratton — would need to be paid for a speaking role anyway, they expanded on the character. Thank the lord we don't live in a world without Creed.

Creed says, When Pam gets Michael’s old chair, I get Pam’s old chair, then I’ll have two chairs, only one to go

Life would be so boring.

Robert California and Creed both ask, How old, and Creed says, Jinx, buy me some coke

What would we be working toward?

7. When he learns that Phyllis was flashed, Michael decides to be the worst and does a flasher impression of sorts. Steve Carell (who played Michael) improvised the whole thing. Here is in the moment:

8. After Jim comforts a devastated Dwight in the stairwell, Dwight reaches out for Jim only to find that he's gone. Rainn Wilson (who played Dwight) did this off the cuff. Here's the full, beautiful scene:

9. Dwight owning a farmhouse with nine bedrooms was improvised in "Office Olympics." This moment is also what led to the character of Dwight being a beet farmer.

I am so gratfeul we don't live in a Schrute-farms-less world.

10. Andy "catching an 80-pound shark off Montauk" was totally unscripted. Here's the moment:

11. The tour Michael gives the camera of New York City was mostly unscripted. Here's a great moment from the tour:

12. Dwight telling Ryan that he will plant his seed in Ryan wasn't planned whatsoever. Here's the moment:

13. When the office sings their version of Rent's "Seasons of Love" to Michael as essentially a farewell, Michael cries. The tears were not written.

14. Dwight's fitness ball was never meant to deflate as much as it did when Jim pops it. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, here's the moment:

15. Though Michael was supposed to pause for a long time at the end of "Health Care" — when he has been hinting at a big surprise all day and the time has come for him to admit there is no big surprise — the pause was not scripted to be the impressive and awful two and a half minutes that Steve Carell nailed. I both can't and don't want to find the full moment because it's so awkward, so here's a purely funny Michael Scott moment instead.

16. And finally, the Oscar and Michael kiss WAS NOT SCRIPTED.
