How to Activate Mirroring on Fire TV

Before you can mirror your mobile device or computer screen to your Fire TV, you have to activate your Fire TV's mirroring feature. Navigate to the home screen on your Fire TV by pressing the Home button on the remote. Use the arrow buttons on your remote to select settings, marked by the gear icon to the far right of your most recently used apps. Select Display & Audio. Select Enable Display Mirroring.

There's also a shortcut to get here. From the home screen, press and hold down the Home button on your remote to pull up the shortcut menu, then select Mirroring. You need to activate mirroring on your Fire TV first. Refer to the previous section, "How to Enable Mirroring on Your Fire TV" before following these instructions. Swipe down from the top of your screen to access Quick Settings. Tap, hold, and pull down on the icons to expand it. Swipe left to find and tap Smart View. Tap the name of your Fire TV. Tap Start Now and wait a few moments for your TV screen to display your Android's screen.

Press any button on your Fire TV's remote to exit screen mirroring.

How to Cast From Windows PC to Firestick

Follow these instructions to cast your Windows PC screen to your Fire TV in just a few simple steps. Your PC must be running on Windows 10.

You must activate mirroring on your Fire TV first. Refer to the previous section, "How to Enable Mirroring on Your Fire TV" before following these instructions. Click on the small square Notifications icon in the bottom right corner of the Taskbar to open the Action Center. Click Expand. Click Connect. Click on your Fire TV's name.

If you can't see your Fire TV as an option, click Find other types of devices to search for it. If that doesn't work, make sure both your Fire TV and PC are connected to the same network. After a few moments of waiting for the connection, you should see your PC's screen mirrored on your Fire TV.

How to Cast From iPhone or iPad to Firestick

Unlike casting from an Android or Windows 10 computer, iOS devices can't directly cast to your Fire TV. A workaround is to use a third-party app. There are many available, but the following instructions will show you how to mirror your iOS device to your Fire TV using the Screen Mirroring for Fire TV app. First, you have to download Screen Mirroring for Fire TV on your Fire TV. Select Find from the home screen followed by Search and then begin type "screen mirroring for fire tv" into the search field. Select Screen Mirroring or Screen Mirroring for Fire TV from the suggested results to locate the app, then select Download followed by Open once it's finished installing. Download the corresponding Screen Mirroring for Fire TV iOS app to your device. Tap Setup and allow the app to find and connect to devices on your local network by tapping OK. Select the name of your Fire TV or Connect via QR code to scan the code displayed on your Fire TV. Since this app is free, you'll be asked to watch a 30-second ad or pay for the premium version before you can use it. Select Watch Ad to stay on the free version. Select Screen Mirror (Cast Screen). Wait a few moments for your device's screen to appear on your Fire TV.
