One of the easiest options for getting your Android phone or tablet connected to a projector wirelessly is through the use of a Chromecast streaming adapter. The small device plugs into any projector with an HDMI port and can be found at most electronic retailers for about $35. Chromecast is a powerful part of the Google ecosystem. Many applications, including Spotify and Netflix, feature one-click buttons for casting. Alternatively, you can cast your entire device's screen using the Cast Screen button in the Android navigation menu. Manufacturer Streaming
Your projector might have built-in smart capabilities. Companies such as Samsung, LG, and others include video-streaming support with their projectors and televisions. Look up the model number of your projector on the manufacturer's website to see if streaming or wireless device mirroring support is available. If your projector allows you to connect devices such as your Android phone, check the Play Store for the necessary application. If your Android phone or tablet has a USB-C port, check with your manufacturer to see if the device supports using an adapter for HDMI video out. HDMI supports audio in addition to video, meaning that a single HDMI cable can be used to supply both video and audio to the projector. MHL
The micro-USB port you use on your Android phone might be more powerful than you think. Some manufacturers have opted to support a new standard known as MHL; it allows video signals to be transmitted with a special adapter from a micro-USB port. If supported, you need to purchase an MHL to HDMI adapter for your device. Knowing which devices support MHL can be tricky at first glance, but thanks to the MHL website, you can view all devices that support the standard in one easy-to-view page. Unfortunately, recent phones appear to have dropped the standard in favor of using USB-C. How to Play Netflix on a Projector From Android Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
