If you've been working from home and feel like your desk is starting to get unruly, Logitech has a new docking station it wants to sell you. The Logi Dock, like the rest of its ilk, is designed to aid with desktop de-cluttering by way of acting as a stand-in for a bunch of power cords and cables. The kicker is it's also designed to integrate with remote meeting services like Zoom and Google Meet. Logitech The Logi Dock will allow you to join/exit, mute/unmute, and turn on/off your camera feed during a video conference call via external buttons. This means you can just tap a spot on the top of the dock, itself, rather than using the in-app functions or keyboard shortcuts. According to the compatibility page, the device will support Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom right out of the box. At the moment, only the mute/unmute option is supported, but the other two features are "coming soon," likely by the time the Logi Dock launches. Logitech As a docking station, the Logi Dock also bears a number of ports for connecting and charging various devices. It features two USB-A 3.0 and three USB-C 3,1 ports, a display port, one port for HDMI and one for USB-C upstream, a Kensington lock, and a button for Bluetooth pairing. According to Logitech, this will let you power your laptop (up to 100w), attach up to two monitors, and wirelessly connect a smartphone or tablet for audio streaming. The Logi Dock has a planned release set for sometime this winter and will retail for $399. Preorders aren't available just yet, but you can sign up to receive notifications for when that changes.
