Here's what it takes to change the clock face and background image on the new Amazon Echo Spot.

How Do I Display the Clock on the Echo Spot

In addition to the audio commands the Echo Spot understands, the new Echo Spot and Echo Show provide a visual interface and camera that lets you watch videos or video chat with friends and family. When it’s not in use, it can show the time, the weather, or any number of built-in widgets. Like its predecessors, setting up your Echo Spot starts by turning it on. Plug it in and wait for the display to light up. You’ll get a greeting from Alexa, and from there, you can start setting up your display and choosing your features. If this is your first time setting up your Echo Spot device, follow the steps below. Connect to your Wi-Fi network and sign into your Amazon account on the Echo Spot.
Name your Echo device.
Download the Alexa App to further customize your Echo Spot.
The clock display is the default setting unless you’re interacting with the Echo Spot. If there is anything else displayed on the screen, simply tap Home.

After you see your clock face displaying properly, it's time to customize your Echo Spot screen. To change your clock face on your Amazon Echo Spot: Swipe down from the top of the screen and go to Settings.

Changing the picture on your Echo Spot is just as easy as changing the clock settings. You’ll need the Alexa app on your mobile device to connect your pictures to the device. If you haven't already, connect your Echo Spot device to the app.
